Fashion is especially interesting when one begins to unravel it: A common link between all people, something that binds us all together. In the layer underneath, fashion is something that makes us beautiful and individually our own.
I am setting out onto the high seas to explore the depths of fashion! I adore fashion and how it makes people feel. Day 1: June 1, 2013
A new beginning for Clothes by the Shore couldn’t have started on a better day. :)
My clothes today reflect comfort and some of my favorite pieces. Since I spent the morning walking around, I wanted to wear comfortable fabrics and sensible shoes, as Spencer on Pretty Little Liars would put it. ;)
When I am out and about, like today, I love to layer as well. The tan cardigan for today allowed me to be warm, but isn’t too heavy of a jacket that makes me warm in this summer sun. :) The tan marries nicely with the blue and green too, I think. :) I am interested right now in pairing more neutral colors with a bold color or two.

A new dress! :)
I love the sweet and soft tan color with the edgy cut and faux leather skirt! This combonation of sweet and edgy is one of my favorite ways to dress. Speaking of favorites, I bought this dress at Ross Dress for Less- One of my favorites shops! :)
I am invisioning red lipstick with this one…

Hello everyone! :)
I have been thinking long and hard about the direction of this blog and its current state. Recently, I have been thinking about starting over and start with today being a new “day one” on the blog. I really wanted this blog to be daily, but due to this and that, I was unable to keep it up. Now, I am able to and I find myself overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do to have the blog be current.
With that said, this has felt, in ways, like failure. Now, I am coming to see that it is accepting that some of the things I tried to do did not work out as well as I thought they would and have to do certain things better. Now with this new knowledge and my thirst for fashion stronger than ever, I am ready start a new chapter on Clothes by the Shore.
Since it is all about the experience, I do plan to keep all of the past posts on Clothes by the Shore up. I am excited that this provides me a chance to see how my fashion has and has not changed over this past year! My fingers are itching to put outfits together and create new posts. I am excited to have this new beginning with the blog!I hope you all enjoy and I thank all of those who take a look at Clothes by the Shore.
